Simone's Treasury (West).

Remember back in this post when I said I was going to be coming up with Treasuries inspired by Simone and Beatrice? Well, here is Simone's ( I compiled hers first because she's older):
Cute, no? Plainly not as cute as Simone, but it'll have to do. Can you tell she is the daughter of the person who taught me to knit? Also, who wouldn't love a sheep hat made of alpaca (top right corner)? Happy Friday, all!

Yarn yearn.

I just entered a blog contest to win some beautiful yarn from the lady behind mama4earthyarns. You should enter, too, and if you're not a knitter* and you win it, send it to me and I'll make you something from it! Sounds like fun!

*Yeah like anyone but a knitter would care about my lil knittin' blog.

Get out the vote, Etsians!

Hey! FlyingPigFibers (one of my fellow Bravo Whores on Ravelry) is in the Etsy Voter right now, nominated as a Fresh Shop! Check out her beautiful handspun yarns, batts, and roving when you have a moment, then, should you be so inclined, you can cast your vote for her! This photo is her Blue Bijou that's pictured in The Voter, just so you can find her easily. So you can click and vote, you know. Hint hint.

East meets West (or, two great tastes that taste great together).

Here are my two latest Treasuries, side by side. I snagged them within a couple of hours of each other, and am pretty pleased, as you can imagine. I hope you find them as cohesive and appealing as I do!

The one on the left is not for English majors, hahaha. The one on the right is mostly INCrowdteam, with a couple of other pals thrown in.

You have got to be KIDDING ME!

The scarf made it into another Treasury, this one by INCrowdteammate GlassAddictions! I got so excited trying to turn the screen toward Merino to show him, that I knocked over my glass of Caffeine-Free Diet Coke and it flowed across the table, the runner, and onto his laptop bag (which, thankfully, was zipped shut)! While I clean this mess up, go give GlassAddictions some love, would you? You are going to freak out when you see her beautiful lampwork beads. Seriously.

About that runner, what kind of idiot buys a white table runner? Oh, yeah - me.

Busy day in Treasuryland!

I just scored a Treasury! This one is all INCrowdteam items, inspired by peridot, the birthstone for August. Yes, by the way, August birthdays are looming!

The wheels are turnin'...

My new Treasury West, adorable finds for a DARLING baby, is a collection of cute cute things for one of the Bravo Whores' beautiful daughter. This made the tell-her-what-she's-won-Bob bells go off in my head - I'm going to put together collections inspired by Simone and Beatrice, as well! What I should do is put together a Treasury of nothing but booties, because Merino's cousin is going to have a baby and she asked me to make her some little pink booties, which I would be delighted to do, if only I knew how to knit booties! Guess I'd better learn - I think she's due in October!

Thrilled to pieces!

Look at this - my Much More Than Pink scarf made it into a Treasury curated by julieandco! Whee! How cool is that?

Oh, and while you're clickin' and showing the love, Julie's daughters have their own shop, and Julie is on the Etsy West Michigan Team, so go give all these Michiganders a peep!

Harry Potter!

Am I crazy or are these wristbands pretty freakin' adorable? Here are the links; feel free to spread the word! Wider one (left one in this photo) and narrower one (on the right in this photo). Yes, of course I made them!

The important question is when the heck am I seeing the new movie? Don't know yet... The Boys and Merino and his brother all want to see it, but it's going to be impossible to coordinate so many schedules. Fine with me; I'm ready to see it multiple times! Potter Potter Potter Potter - WEASLEY, WEASLEY! Snape. Oops, sorry, that thing is stuck in my head. Hee hee.

Suck it!

I really wanted to call my Kathy-Griffin-themed Treasury "Suck it!" or "Where are my Gays?" but as you can see, I exercised some restraint.

You know how I like it, Babs - you know how I like it.

Salty, with a hint of cheese, just like my new Treasury. Yes, okay, I came up with the concept for the collection at that time of day when I was thinking about snacks.

Check it out and show some salty, cheesy love, won't you?

Here, kitty kitty...

Wheee... my INCrowdteammate bagsandmorebypam put some of my gift tags in an Etsy Treasury! Go click around, would you, and show the team some love - it's like a rainbow up in there! Fun, fun, fun!

How are you today?

It's been a good day for me: I also got to learn how to join together two of the little diamond things I've been knitting, and they magically become three! No kidding. It's like magic! I'll take a photo soon.

Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Remember when kids used to send away to get pan pals? Heck, remember when people used to write letters? I've scored a new Treasury West, inspired by faraway pen friends from the past. Now it's time to get to knitting on the Annette sweater. As soon as I pour another cup of delicious coffee, of course.

The rain rain rain came down down down...

... which is no problem for me; I love it! Kevinfest was yesterday, the family cookout was earlier today ("Merino" is none the worse for wear from grilling steaks in the rain), and I just got a new Treasury, inspired by a wonderful print of a shelter dog.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

There's only room for five photos in an Etsy listing! Of course I came up with six good ones for my new scarf. I'm sure if we could upload six photos, I would have had seven good ones. Anyway, let me know if you think I should put this one in instead of the bottom photo in my new listing.

And, before you mention it, yes, I'm aware that pink is not necessarily a very "patriotic" color for going into a holiday weekend, and yes, I know people might not be snatching up scarves left and right in July, but oh, well. I love how this scarf came out and couldn't wait to list it!

I *heart* my 100th Heart!

Darling readers, it's a great day! I don't know if you've noticed my new little gadget over there on the left (courtesy of Yaami Handmade), but it's true - I have 100 shop hearts! This means that a hundred people on Etsy have marked my shop as one of their favorites - wow! In celebration, I thought I would feature the Etsian who was the 100th. Take a look at ACreativeDreamer's stuff, and let's spread the love around!
The Queen Bee above is what first caught my eye in a Treasury, but just look at the My Friend... Breast Cancer Shrine! You know how I am about the mammograms, people - get them done!
